60"

Beam Width

Wide enough to offer incredible stability while covering horizontally stowed 9-foot fly rods.

Minimalism to the Extreme

A stylish micro-skiff that runs amazingly dry and soft in conditions far worse than a boat this size should handle. We took the legendary fit and finish of our 24 bay boats and packed it into a 390-pound vessel.

Don't let the micro-skiff classification fool you. The 16 Morada features an aggressive forward entry, wide bow flare, and integrated spray rails. When the afternoon breeze kicks up, this hull cuts through the chop and keeps you completely dry on the run home.

Designed specifically for two anglers, the deck is laid out for pure sight-casting efficiency. It inherits the best features from our 18 Morada, including the classic Sportfisherman-style molded toe rail to control runaway fly line, dual aft cockpit drains, and ultra-wide gunwales that completely protect up to six 9-foot fly rods.

Build it to fit your exact style of fishing. The 16 Morada is available in Tiller, Side Console, or Center Console configurations. Spec it in our efficient E-Glass resin-infused hull (390 lbs), or upgrade to a 100% Carbon Innegra hull, deck, and liner to shave off an additional 80 pounds for the absolute skinniest pursuits.

Islamorada 16 FAQs

Uncompromising Standards

Everything you need to know about the engineering behind the 16 Morada.

How shallow can the 16 Morada really go?

Fully loaded, the 16 Morada drafts in just 4 to 5 inches of water. It was engineered specifically to access untouched, "kayak-only" flats that heavier skiffs simply cannot reach.

What is the difference between the E-Glass and Carbon builds?

Our standard Guide Series utilizes a premium E-Glass construction, bringing the dry weight to a nimble 390 lbs. Upgrading to the Carbon Series utilizes 100% Carbon Innegra for the hull, deck, and liner, shaving off an additional 80 lbs (310 lbs total) for the absolute lightest poling experience possible.

Can I use the 16 Morada as a tender?

Absolutely. At 16'2" and just 310-390 lbs, it is perfectly proportioned to sit on the foredeck of a Sportfisherman or the aft deck of a Trawler. It also slips easily into a standard residential garage.

What helm configurations are available?

Because we are a custom builder, you can order the 16 Morada exactly how you want to fish it: as a pure minimalist Tiller steer, a space-saving Side Console, or a traditional Center Console.
