My name is Capt Mark Johnson, aka HOLLYWOOD. I am the owner operator of Florida Keys Fun Fishing LLC based in Islamorada, Fl.. the heart of the Florida Keys… I have been in the charter fishing business most of my life..here is a short to the point version of my Islamorada Boatworks story.

The year was 2004/05 .. we were all full time poling skiff guides living the dream everyday. At the time, I was running a tournament boat for Lake N Bay. We were invited to fish the popular MADFIN Shark Tournament in Key West hosted by Jose Wejebe. We were to debut the 24’ bayboat with a shocking 600+HP(twin 300 Pro Xs Mercury Optimaxs) for a big entrance into the bayboat culture. After running that boat for a few days competing against all the much larger center consoles.. I knew this boat bottom was special. Thru all the trials and tribulations of the boating industry during those next few years, we managed to be part of the team that bought the molds.. not as an owner but a consultant as to why that particular bottom?  Fast forward to present time…owning 6 24’s, spending thousands upon thousands of actual boat/motor hours, countless boat applications in the charter fishing world, 3 different manufacture owners groups, and 17 years later.. TA DA! here we are still running that same bottom. I have had the pleasure to run, operate, ride and fish in nearly every bay boat option out there at one time or another… and to this day I haven’t found a 24’ bayboat in which I would trade for. Paired with a super solid ownership of the company Islamorada Boatworks, I couldn’t be happier. Florida Keys Fun Fishing is the largest inshore charter company in the upper keys.
